Managing generic links

If you are a tenant or analytics admin, you can create and edit generic links from the hub or the Management Console.

For generic links in the hub, see Adding links. The following procedures describe how to create, edit, and delete generic links in the Management Console. You can either create a single link or upload a CSV file with one or more links.

Information note

Qlik Cloud only supports UTF-8 encoding for generic link CSV files.

In the Management Console, generic links are administered on the Generic links page.

Generic links overview

Generic links offer an easy way to make external resources available in the cloud. For example, if you have a multi-cloud deployment consisting of QlikView or Qlik Sense Enterprise on Windows in combination with Qlik Cloud, you can use links to offer access to on-premises apps available in the cloud.

A tenant admin or analytics admin can add generic links from the hub, see Adding links, and from the Management Console. Additionally, users can add links from the hub to spaces where they have the Owner or Can manage role. A link can only be added to one space at a time.

You can upload a CSV file to add several links at the same time.
