SaaS editions of Qlik Sense provides several ways to organize the users that you add to the tenant. Once you add users to the tenant, you can sort them into groups based on whether they will be app consumers or whether they will need to create content in the tenant. You do this with user allocations. You can assign task-based roles to users so that some users have specific permissions in the tenant. You do this with user roles. The information in this section describe the different ways you can organize and manage users in your tenant.

The diagram below shows the steps of adding users to the tenant and organizing them into roles.

Note: Once you add users to the tenant, there is no specific order you must follow, and you can change user allocations and user roles any time.
