The Qlik Slack V2 Connector enables you to select data from your Slack account, such as lists of available public channels or private messages, and load it into your Qlik Sense app or QlikView document.

Ways to access your data

To access your Slack data, you need to authenticate the connector with your Slack account credentials.

Loading data from tables

After you authenticate the connector with your account credentials, you can use the following tables to select and load data:

Profile Returns the specified user's profile information.
AllUsers

Returns a list of users, including deactivated and deleted users.

Channels Returns a list of channels of the specified privacy level available in a Slack instance.
Members Returns a list of members in the specified channel or group.
Messages Returns a list of messages from a specific Slack channel since the specified date.
UsersConversations Returns a list of conversations that are available to the specified user, of the specified privacy level.
Reactions Returns a list of reactions made by the specified user.
Replies Returns a thread of messages posted to a specified message

Troubleshooting

You receive an error message that Qlik Web Connectors (Slack) can’t be installed

Possible cause

Your Slack workplace is not set to allow installation of apps from outside its own app catalogue.

Proposed action

The owner of the Slack workplace should check the settings related to app management on the Slack admin page, setting any options that restrict app installations to False.
