Configuring multifactor authentication (MFA)

Multifactor authentication (MFA) enhances security for accessing My Qlik and Qlik Cloud, providing an additional layer of protection. It can be set up using mobile devices or desktop options.

Service account owners (SAO) and tenant administrators using Qlik Account as their identity provider are not required to configure MFA. However, it is strongly recommended for these roles to configure MFA given the sensitive nature of the information they have access to.

Enabling multifactor authentication

MFA can be configured at the time of subscription purchase or any time thereafter.

Do the following:

  1. Install a multifactor authentication app on your device. Many different MFA apps are available for both mobile and desktop devices. Some common choices are Google Authenticator, Okta Verify, and LastPass.
  2. Log in to My Qlik portal from My Qlik portal.

  3. Click the user profile menu in My Qlik and select Profile settings.
