Loading data from the data marketplace

You can load data into your application from an existing data product that you can access in the data marketplace.

You can access the data marketplace from the Analytics activity center. This is the central place to manage data products which are entities that allow you to gather, and package trusted datasets related to the same domain, or any grouping that makes sense for your business. For more information, see Working with data products.

Prerequisite: You have access to managed spaces where data products are activated.

Do the following:

1. From the data marketplace, open the data product of your choice.
2. Click Use in > Application on the top right.

   The Create a new application dialog opens.

   From the Use in dropdown list, you can also use the data product in a table recipe, data flow, script, or ML experiment.

3. In the corresponding field, enter a Name for the application.

4. From the corresponding drop-down list, select in which Space you want to save the application.

5. Add a Description to document the purpose of the application.

6. Add some Tags to the application to make it easier to find.

7. Click Next. You are redirected to the list of datasets included in the data product. They are selected by default.

8. If needed, clear datasets' check boxes to exclude them, and click Next.

9. Review the summary of the selected data. You can click each individual dataset to get a preview of the fields they contain.

10. Optionally select the Open application check-box to directly view the application once it’s created.

11. Click Load into application.
