Publish Applications

The Publish Applications step retrieves all imported applications from the plan and publishes them to their designated managed spaces within the Qlik Cloud tenant.

Step details

• Retrieval method:
  Applications are identified using their unique app description, which is embedded during the Import Applications step.

• Publishing logic:
  For each application:

  • If a managed space is defined in the plan and exists on the tenant, the app is published to that space.
  • If no space is defined, the space does not exist, or the plan specifies not to publish the app, it is skipped.
  • Personal apps and apps without publish configuration are not affected.

• Behavior:
  The publish action finalizes the migration of apps to shared environments, making them accessible to authorized users based on space permissions.

Notes

• Ensure the targeted managed spaces have already been created via the Create Spaces step.
• This step does not duplicate the app—it moves the imported version into the appropriate space.
• If an app with the same name already exists in the target space, Qlik Cloud may block the publish action.
