Reload Applications

The Reload Applications step retrieves all applications from the plan and triggers a full reload of each app in the Qlik Cloud tenant. To avoid unwanted and extended queuing, this step is not available when the plan includes more than 30 applications.

Step details

• Retrieval method:
  Applications are identified using their unique app description, created during the Import Applications step.

• Execution:
  A reload task is initiated for each application. Reloads are performed in parallel where possible, and their status is monitored throughout the execution of the job.

• Progress monitoring:
  The job log provides a real-time overview of reload statuses, updating every 10 seconds until completion.

• Result artifacts:
  Once all reloads have completed (successfully or otherwise), a summary report is generated in two formats:

  • reloads.json
  • reloads.xlsx

  These files are saved in the Reloads folder inside the job directory:
  Qlik Analytics Migration Tool\Migration Projects\<PROJECT>\<JOB>\Reloads

Notes

• Reload failures may indicate issues in the updated script or missing data connections. Refer to the reload logs in Qlik Cloud or the job output for diagnosis.
• This step is crucial when applications are imported without data (that is, without Export with Data selected).
• This step will not work for plans with over 30 apps, and a pop-up will indicate this when applicable. Using existing reload schedules or creating new ones is recommended for larger counts.
