Spaces

The Spaces section under Migration Steps includes all steps related to space management in Qlik Cloud during the migration process. Spaces are typically mapped from streams in the Qlik Sense Client-Managed environment, although new spaces can also be created independently as part of the migration workflow.

These steps ensure that the target environment in Qlik Cloud has the correct logical and access structure in place before applications and other assets are migrated.

Qlik Cloud retrieval logic

In Qlik Cloud, space names are unique and case sensitive. This constraint is leveraged by Qlik Analytics Migration Tool to accurately reference and resolve target spaces across multiple steps in the migration process. When a space is used or created during migration, the name serves as the unique identifier for subsequent steps such as publishing apps, assigning users, or updating ownership.
