Add Shares To Applications

The Add Shares To Applications step retrieves all applications from the plan and applies user- or group-based sharing configurations to each app in the Qlik Cloud tenant, as defined in the migration plan.

Step details

• Retrieval method:
  Applications are resolved using their app description, which is embedded during the Import Applications step.

• Sharing Behavior:
  For each app, the configured shares are applied:

  • If a user or group listed in the plan exists in the tenant, sharing permissions are applied as defined.
  • If a referenced user or group does not exist, the share is skipped without error.

Notes

• Sharing makes applications accessible to specific users or groups while retaining ownership and space-based control.
• Ensure relevant users and groups are present in the tenant by completing the Import Users step prior to this one.
