Preparing for authentication

To access your Google Business Profile data, you need to authenticate the connection with your account credentials. You need to create a service account key, and find your developer bucket ID.

Creating a service account key

  1. Navigate to Google Developers Console.

  2. If you already have a project, use the drop-down to select a project.

If you do not have a project listed or want to create a new one:

    • Click Create project.

    • Select from the menu: IAM & Admin > Service accounts > Create service account.

    • Follow the on-screen instructions and select Create.

  3. Click the email address of your service account.

    Example: accountName@project.iam.gserviceaccount.com.

  4. Click Keys > Add key > Create new key > Create > Close.

This downloads your service account key that you will need when creating the connection.

  5. Click Details and copy the email.

  6. Click Open the Play Console - https://play.google.com/apps/publish/

  7. Select Settings > User accounts & rights > Invite new user.

Paste or type the email address associated with your service account.

Select permissions based on the types of reports needed.

For more information about access levels for users and the rights that different permissions grant them, see Add developer account users and manage permissions.

  8. Click Add User.

Finding your developer bucket ID

  2. Copy or type the Developer Bucket ID you found when preparing.
