Preparing for authentication

To access your Gladly data, you need to authenticate the connection with your account credentials.

Information noteMake sure that the account you use has read access to the tables you want to fetch.

To give a user the permission to access an API:

  1. In Gladly, click the menu in the left top corner and navigate to Settings>Users.
  2. Search and select the user who needs the access. A permission named API User is created.
  3. Select the permission and do not change the Agent role of the user.
  4. Click Save.

To generate an API token:

  1. In Gladly, go to More settings.
  2. If you do not see this menu, request the access to the API. See the procedure above.
  3. Click API Tokens and Create Token in the top right corner.
  4. Copy the API token.

You can find your Help Center ID in Gladly:

  1. Navigate to Settings>Help Center.
  2. Click the three dots next to Help Center.
  3. Select Configure.
  4. Copy the Help Center ID from the URL.

Creating the connection

  1. Fill in the required connection properties.
  2. Provide a name for the connection in Connection name.

  3. Select Open connection metadata to define metadata for the connection when it has been created.

  4. Click Create.

Data gateway

Select a Data Movement gateway if required by your use case.

Information note

This field is not available with the Qlik Talend Cloud Starter subscription, as it does not support Data Movement gateway. If you have another subscription tier and do not want to use Data Movement gateway, select None.

Organization

The name of your organization in the Gladly domain.

Example: In https://example.gladly.com, the organization name is example.

Help Center ID

Help Center ID.

Agent Email

The email of the Gladly user who has access to the API.

API Token API token.
