Reddit Ads 

Reddit Ads is the advertising platform of Reddit.

Preparing for authentication

To access your Reddit Ads data, you need to authenticate the connection with your account credentials.

To obtain your app ID and your secret ID:

1. Go to your account application preferences.

2. Click Are you a developer? Create an app….

3. Name your app and select Web App as the type.

4. Add the following redirect URL: https://connector.qlik.com/auth/oauth/v3.htm, and click Create app.

5. Copy and save your app ID and app secret in a secured file. You will need them to connect to the application.

You must be on the allowlist to access the Reddit Ads API. Contact your Reddit sales representative to request allowlisting for your account. If you do not have a Reddit sales representative, fill out the Contact Sales form.

Creating the connection

1. Click Authenticate when you have filled in the required connection settings.

   You may be asked to log in to the source application.

   A window is displayed with an authentication code.

2. Copy the code to the clipboard and return to the connection dialog.

3. Paste the code in Complete authentication with the code provided by the source and click Verify.

   When status is Verified,the authentication is verified.

4. Provide a name for the connection in Connection name.

5. Select Open connection metadata to define metadata for the connection when it has been created.
