Configuring Qlik Cloud Authentication
Configure Qlik Cloud authentication to create a secure connection between your Qlik and Talend tenants and enable new or extended capabilities deployed on Qlik Cloud Services.
- Create an OAuth client to generate a client ID and secret in Qlik Management Console
- Configure the client ID and secret in Talend Management Console
Before you begin
- You must meet all the requirements listed in this Prerequisites section.
- You have linked the Qlik tenant in Talend Management Console, if not done automatically.
- You have generated and configured the secure access token between Talend Management Console and Qlik Cloud, if not done automatically.
Generating a client ID and secret in Qlik Management Console
Create an OAuth client in Qlik Management Console to generate the client ID and secret.

Before you begin
- You have created an OAuth client and generated a client ID and secret in Qlik Management Console.
- You must have the Subscription - Manage (TMC_SUBSCRIPTION_MANAGEMENT) user permission to configure the Qlik Cloud authentication.
About this task
You can store only one pair of client ID and secret.
Once configured, the values of the saved client ID and secret are not visible.
Procedure
Results

You can store a new pair of client ID and secret by clicking the Update button.
You can remove this connection by clicking the Disconnect button.

You can now create an API with API Assistant in Talend Cloud API Designer to create an API by interacting with an AI model using natural language.
You can now enable the lineage collection for Job tasks in Talend Management Console to view the lineage of your data that tracks the transformations backwards to the original source from Qlik Cloud Catalog.
