Managing environments
An environment is a self-contained space with the required resources (Studio connections, engines, and so on) that allows the execution of tasks and plans in isolation, with no impacts on other environments.
You can navigate between environments by using the Environment filter at the top of the Operations, Management and Processing pages. If the filter is hidden, you can display it using the Add filter button on these pages.
From the Environments page, you can see all the existing environments for your account. Each environment contains a number of spaces and a list of engines and engine clusters.
From the details panel of an environment, you can see the information such as its ID, number of allocated Cloud Engines, and description in the Overview tab, and the list of spaces in the Spaces tab.
When the unified administration is enabled, environments can be synchronized and shared between Qlik Cloud and Talend Cloud. Changes such as creation, updates, deletions, and space assignments are synchronized between both systems.
For more information on how the synchronization of environments works between Qlik Cloud and Talend Cloud, see Synchronizing and managing environments.
Creating an environment
Create a named environment and assign an initial space to organize and isolate your resources.
When the unified administration is enabled, you can also create synchronized environments from Qlik Cloud. You can create up to 1,000 environments per tenant. Each environment can have up to 1,000 spaces assigned. For more information, see Creating environments.
