Configuring Talend Cloud with Qlik Cloud
Qlik allows you to easily combine and load data, create smart visualizations and build rich analytics applications accelerated by suggestions and automation from AI.
- AI-based features like Creating an API with API Assistant in Talend Cloud API Designer.
- Monitoring and reporting features like Monitoring capacity usage by executions with detailed consumption reports.
- Analytics features like Enabling the lineage collection for Job tasks.
Starting July 22, 2025, new Qlik Talend Cloud subscriptions will automatically create and link the Qlik Cloud and Talend Cloud tenants during setup. In this case, you only need to follow the last configuration step, Configuring Qlik Cloud Authentication, to complete the connection between your Talend Cloud and Qlik Cloud.
Manual setup of tenant linking is only required for purchases made before this date. In this case, you must meet the prerequisites and follow all the configuration steps.
The below video walks you through all the steps to connect your tenants together. Make sure all the prerequisites are met before proceeding.
Prerequisites

You must have a Qlik Talend Cloud license. For more information, see Qlik Talend Cloud subscription options.

The tenants have not already been linked. Tenants are linked if the URLs are not visible, or if the URLs are visible and already filled in Talend Management Console settings and the Qlik Cloud Administration settings.

You must have Talend Cloud version 8.

You must have Talend Studio version 8.0.1-R2025-04 or later.

You must ensure your Talend Remote Engine and Talend Runtime versions are compatible with the Talend Studio version used by upgrading if necessary.
Though not mandatory, Talend Remote Engine v2.13.9 or later brings the Adaptive Java mode making transition to newer versions of Studio significantly smoother.

You have disabled the Talend Data Stewardship and Talend Data Preparation hybrid mode in Talend Management Console.

You have created the Qlik Cloud administrator role (Tenant Admin).

You have created the Qlik Cloud tenant in the appropriate region. Your Talend Cloud region must match your Qlik Cloud region.

Configuration steps

Link the Qlik tenant in Talend Management Console to enable a direct navigation link to access Qlik Cloud easily from Talend Cloud.

Generate and configure a secure access token between Talend Management Console and Qlik Cloud to ensure the tenant linking and enable the capacity usage monitoring feature.

Configure Qlik Cloud authentication to create a secure connection between your Qlik and Talend tenants and enable the capabilities deployed on Qlik Cloud Services.
