Managing spaces
Spaces enable selected users to work together preparing tasks and plans for execution, and allow them access to engines allocated to the space.
When the unified administration is enabled, spaces can be synchronized and shared between Qlik Cloud and Talend Cloud. Changes such as creation, updates, deletions, and space assignments are synchronized between both systems. Content within spaces (such as files and datasets) is not synchronized.
Spaces in Talend Cloud appear as data spaces in Qlik Cloud. There can be up to 10,000 spaces in total, across all space types.
For more information on how the synchronization of spaces works between Qlik Cloud and Talend Cloud, see Synchronizing environments and spaces.
Spaces are used to share artifacts, tasks, plans, Studio connections, and Studio resources. Users can be added to a space with predefined permissions. A user's roles have no impact in a space. Talend groups cannot be added to a space.
It is recommended to create a maximum of 7000 tasks in a single space. Exceeding this limit will prevent you from promoting the space.
After that, only these accounts can use this engine to run tasks and plans, but note that these tasks or plans can be from other spaces.
User roles and space permissions must be set to access specific Talend Management Console content. For more information about user roles, see Managing roles.
