Update QlikView Application Scripts

The Update QlikView Application Scripts step retrieves all QlikView applications from the migration plan and updates their load scripts within the Qlik Cloud tenant.

Step details

• Retrieval method:
  Applications are located using the custom description metadata generated during the import process.

• Backup:
  Before any script changes are applied, a backup of the original script is saved in the App Backups folder inside the project directory.

• Script updates:
  

  • Data connection strings are updated using the definitions provided in the Data Connections sheet of the plan.
  • Search and replace operations defined in the Search Replace sheet are executed line-by-line.
  • Common static or deprecated QlikView-specific values are automatically replaced with their Qlik Cloud-compatible alternatives.

This step provides a streamlined mechanism to modernize and adapt QlikView load scripts for Qlik Cloud compatibility. Script updates are driven by both configuration sheets and static QlikView-specific substitutions to reduce manual remediation.
