Installing the SAP transports - SaaS editions

A SAP transport is a package which is used to transfer data from one SAP installation to another. Transports can also be used to transfer data from external applications.

Downloading the transports

Do the following:

  1. Go to the Qlik Download Site.

  2. Select Value Added, and then select Qlik Connector for use with SAP NetWeaver.

  3. Use the Release filters to narrow your list of possible downloads.

  4. Download the transports: [version].SAP.transports.zip

    [version] will be replaced with a number. If you are downloading version 8.7.2 of the transports, the file will be: 872.SAP.transports.zip

Importing the transports

The transports must be imported in the correct order:

  1. Data extraction transports
  2. Role transports (user profile)
Information noteThe data extraction transports are cross-client. They should be imported to the base client (usually 000). The role transports are client-specific and must be imported into all the clients where they will be used.

You can download the transports file 801 SAP transports.zip from the Qlik Download Site.

Information noteIt is recommended that the transports are imported into the SAP system by a SAP BASIS expert.

Data extraction and user profile transports are required for the following:

  • SQL Connector
  • BW Connector
Warning noteYou must install SAP ERP transports before installing SAP BW transports.

  2. Import the appropriate user profile transports into every client where they will be used. This is client dependent.

Information note The latest version of Qlik Sense SaaS is compatible with these transports.
Information noteIt is recommended that the transports are imported into the SAP system by a SAP BASIS expert.

Information noteThe transports for SAP ERP & BW (SQL, Report, SAP Query, BAPI, Extractor connectors) in release 7.0.5 are the same as in release 7.0.3 and 7.0.4, so those transports may already be imported in your system.

You must install the SAPERP and BW transports before installing SAP BW transports.

Information noteOnly the SQL connector from those transports can be used in Qlik Sense SaaS.
