Deleting projects

Projects in the Qlik Analytics Migration Tool can be deleted when they are no longer needed. Deleting a project removes its association with migration jobs, but does not automatically remove the underlying folder structure or output files — unless explicitly chosen during deletion.

This page outlines the process of safely removing a project and optionally deleting the related project directory and files.

Steps to delete a project

Do the following:

  1. Locate the project
Navigate to the Projects tab and locate the project you want to remove from the list.

  2. Click Delete
In the Actions column of the selected project, click the Delete button.

  3. Confirm deletion
A dialog will appear asking for confirmation. Click Yes to proceed with deleting the project.

  4. Delete associated files (optional)
After confirming, an additional prompt will appear asking whether to delete all project-related files.

    • Selecting Yes will remove the full project directory, including any output files such as:
      • Exported or transformed application data
      • Logs
      • Mapping files
      • Validation outputs from comparisons between Qlik Sense Client-Managed and Qlik Cloud
  5. Verify success
Upon successful deletion, a confirmation message will appear at the top of the interface. The project will be removed from the Projects list.
