Add Assignments To Spaces
The Add Assignments To Spaces step retrieves space-role assignments from the selected plan and applies them to the corresponding spaces in the Qlik Cloud tenant.

Retrieval method:
Spaces are resolved by name, which is a unique and case-sensitive identifier in Qlik Cloud. -
Behavior:
- If a user or group (assignee) does not exist on the tenant, the assignment is skipped.
- If the assignee is already assigned to the space with different roles, the roles will be updated.
- If the assignee already holds the exact role, the operation is skipped.

Scope:
This step supports both user and group assignments, based on the mappings defined in the plan.
Notes
- Ensure that required users have been migrated (for example, via the Import Users step) before executing this step.
- Roles applied to spaces can vary depending on the space type (shared, managed, or personal) and permissions allowed by Qlik Cloud.
- Space role assigments may also be changed by app ownership. If a user owns an app but does not have the required assignment in the space, their space role will be auto-elevated. For shared spaces, the user will be assigned the Can edit role, and for managed spaces, will be assigned the Can manage role. The Access Evaluator monitoring app can be used to confirm user permissions.
