Amazon Redshift

Connections to an Amazon Redshift database are made by selecting Amazon Redshift from the list of connectors in the QlikView ODBC Connection dialog or the Qlik Sense Add data or Data load editor dialogs.

Supported offerings

  • Qlik Sense Desktop/Qlik Sense Mobile Client Managed
  • Qlik Sense Business
  • Qlik Sense Enterprise on Windows
  • Qlik Sense Enterprise SaaS
  • QlikView (Requires separate installation)

Database connectors enable QlikView and Qlik Sense to efficiently load data into a Qlik app from a database accessed through a supported ODBC driver, such as Amazon Redshift. You do not need to create a DSN connection before connecting to an Amazon Redshift database.

Note: Industry-accepted best practices must be followed when using or allowing access through the ODBC Connector. Administrators must follow The Principle of Least Privilege when setting up source database privileges and permissions.
