ServiceNow

ServiceNow provides enhanced management and tracking of IT systems and day-to-day operations. You can use ServiceNow as a data source when landing or replicating data.

Preparing for authentication

To access your ServiceNow data, you need to authenticate the connection with your ServiceNow account credentials.

Information noteMake sure that the account you use has read access to the tables you want to fetch.

Creating the connection

  1. Fill in the required connection properties.
  2. Provide a name for the connection in Connection name.

  3. Select Open connection metadata to define metadata for the connection when it has been created.

  4. Click Create.

Select a Data Movement gateway to use when replicating data.

Instance

ServiceNow instance.

To obtain your instance in ServiceNow, navigate to System Web Services > REST > REST API Explorer. In any request URL your instance is included like: https://<INSTANCE>.service-now.com/api/now/.

Username The user name associated with your ServiceNow account.
Password Password for the ServiceNow account.
