Restoring the edit access

Create dedicated workspaces to share Studio connections and resources with only designated users.

This procedure applies to users who had the Manage permission but did not have the Author permission for a workspace before the permission migration.

In the old permission structure, the Manage workspace permission allows such users to edit the Studio connections and resources in this workspace. After the migration, users need both the Studio connections and Studio resources – Edit user permission and the Author workspace permission to perform the same edit operations. Although they automatically receive the Studio connections and Resources – Edit user permission, they do not automatically receive the Author workspace permission. As a result, they unintentionally lose the edit permission in this workspace.

To ensure only the designated users can continue to create, edit, and delete specific Studio connections and resources after migration to the new permission model, follow the steps in this section.
