Redeploying selected or all Microservice-type Data Services and Route tasks

After a Dynamic Engine environment reassignment or re-installation to the same Dynamic Engine, Data Services and Route tasks are automatically redeployed when the environment becomes Ready. If the environment is re-installed or re-assigned to a different Dynamic Engine, you need to manually start this redeployment in the Talend Management Console.

Before you begin

  • You must have the Operator (Execute) permission on the space to redeploy a task.

About this task

After the re-installation of a Dynamic Engine environment or its reassignment to a different Dynamic Engine, redeploy selected or all Data Services and Routes tasks (Microservices) in a single action.

During redeploy, the system monitors deployment status. After completion, you receive a notification indicating the number of succeeded and failed tasks.

Procedure

  1. Open the Management page.
  2. Go to the Tasks tab.
  3. From the Environment list, select the Dynamic Engine environment to be used.
  4. To redeploy selected tasks, select the checkboxes next to the tasks you want to redeploy. To redeploy all Microservice-type Data Service and Routes tasks in the environment at once, skip this step and proceed to the next step.
You can use filters to quickly find the task.
  5. Click Redeploy for selected tasks or Redeploy all for all tasks in your environment.

    Example

Task tab showing Microservice task list with Redeploy and Redeploy all buttons
  6. In the confirmation dialog, review the message indicating only selected tasks or all tasks are going to be redeployed, then click Redeploy to confirm.
The dialog shows the count of tasks being redeployed. For example, it can read like:
This will redeploy all Microservice tasks in the "environment_name" environment

Results

After the redeploy operation completes, you receive a notification toast message with the deployment summary.

If any tasks failed, the notification includes an action link labeled Go to failed runs. Click this link to open the Operations page with a pre-applied filter showing only failed tasks. The filter reset ensures you see a clean view of the failed deployments without your previously saved filter settings interfering.

To view detailed logs for any task, navigate to the task details page and click Logs in the Deployments section.
