Applying a custom attribute value to a dataset

Once a custom attribute definition has been set up, the Creating a custom attributes definition based on a list of values, or Creating a custom attributes definition based on free text can be applied to your datasets and modified at any time in the dataset overview.

Procedure

  1. Select any dataset from your list.
The dataset overview panel opens, where you can find the Custom attributes tile. Your custom attribute definitions are present, with a default value if you set one. You can modify them, as well as those that are still empty for now.
  2. According to the type of custom attribute, you have two possibilities:
    • In the case of a custom attribute definition based on a list of values, click Configure icon, and from the drop-down list that opens, select one of the predefined values.
Predefined values for a custom attribute.
    • In the case of a custom attribute definition based on free text, click Configure icon, and in the text field that opens, manually enter the value of your choice. Click the check icon to validate.
Entered value for a custom attribute.

Results

The desired value for a given attribute is applied, and can be modified or left empty at any time using the same method.
