Enabling the automatic update option allows to update and build the configuration
automatically with the newly imported metadata after a manual or scheduled model import,
depending on your license edition. By default, this option is enabled in the user
preferences.
Before you begin
You have been assigned an object role with the Metadata
Management capability.Procedure

Click the avatar icon in the upper right corner.

Click Preferences from the menu.

Select the Update the configuration automatically
when importing new version of a model check box to enable the
option or clear the check box to disable the option.
- With the Standard license edition, the automatic update occurs on the
configuration after a manual or scheduled model import.
- From the Advanced license edition, the automatic update occurs on the
current configuration after a manual import. If the model is not in the
current configuration, it will be added. You can also enable the
Set new versions as default
option in the import options to automatically set any new imported
version of a model as the default version.

Click APPLY.
