Managing the user account

Access the user profile and preferences and log out using the user menu.

You can also access the product documentation by clicking Help and the REST API documentation by clicking REST API.

Accessing the user profile

You can review and change the information related to your account. You can also review and analyze the statistics and the activity stream related to your account.
  1. Click the thumbnail picture in the upper right corner of the header banner.
  2. Click User Profile.
  3. Click the Edit avatar icon to add a profile picture.

You can see the group assignments below the avatar in the Groups field.

  4. Fill in or edit the Full Name, Definition and Email fields.

As a native user, you can also reset your password.

  5. In Notification Frequency, set how often you are notified of changes by email, which can be:
    • Never
    • Daily
    • Near Real Time

With Daily notification, there is a scheduled job named Send model change notifications and the time of day when the notification occurs may be set there.

With Near Real Time notification, the frequency is based upon the batch time specified by the administrators.

For more information, see Managing email notifications in the Talend Data Catalog Administration Guide.

Accessing the user preferences

You can set or update the preferences associated with your account.
  1. Click the thumbnail picture in the upper right corner of the header banner.
  2. Click Preferences.
  3. Set the following preferences:
  4. Click Yes to enable the Update the configuration automatically when importing new version of a model option or No to disable it.

When enabled, this option applies only to manual imports, not on scheduled or API based imports.

  5. Click Yes to enable the Open monitoring dialog automatically when starting an operation option or No to disable it.

If enabled, the operation log opens when starting an operation rather than just an animated icon in the header.

  6. Click Apply to save your changes.
