SAP components overview
Talend provides components that help numerous ways of interacting with SAP systems. You can use the various components to ensure the seamless information flow from an SAP system to another without the need for redundant data entry.
The following charts give you an overview of all the components available in each SAP
system and their features:
The charts also illustrate if an SAP transport is needed with the 
icon, and if an RFC server can be used. As shown in the charts, some components
leverage RFC server to receive data from an SAP system. Some of these components use Kafka
version 2.1 or higher (marked with the 
icon), others use ActiveMQ JMS (marked with the 
icon). The charts also show dedicated OData components
(tSAPODataInput and tSAPODataOutput) for SAP OData
integration scenarios, shown separately from the HTTP and SOAP components. Note that
tREST has been removed as of R2025-04 and replaced by
tHTTPClient. For more information about SAP transport and RFC server,
see SAP function modules shipped with Talend Studio and Configuring SAP to operate with the Talend SAP RFC Server.
