Storing your data to Vault in cluster mode

You can store your sensitive data in Vault when working in cluster mode.

For more information on the cluster mode, see Working in cluster mode.

With Hashicorp

  1. Stop all nodes of the cluster, except the one used for the Vault configuration.
  2. Follow the steps under the Storing your data to Vault section.
  3. Once done, copy and paste the configuration.properties file from the node used for the Vault configuration on each other node.

With CyberArk

  1. Stop all nodes of the cluster, except the one used for the Vault configuration.
  2. Follow the steps under the Storing your data to Vault section.
  3. Make sure each cluster node has its own user in CyberArk, with the same rights assigned to this user.
  4. Copy the configuration.properties file from the node used for the Vault configuration and paste it on each other node.
  5. Restart the other nodes and click Set Vault parameters.
  6. Specify the username and password. This configuration should be different for each node.
  7. Click Save.

If you have selected WRITE for at least one of the operation types during the Vault configuration, a Start migration to vault dialog box displays.

  8. Click No.
