Setting up Software Update parameters
Nexus 3 is the official software update. Apply the 8.0.1-R2025-07 QTAC patch or later to continue to use updates through Talend Administration Center.
From Talend Administration Center, you can edit the Software Update parameters.
The following parameters are editable according to your needs. These parameters are usually set up after installing and configuring Talend Artifact Repository. For more information, see Installing and configuring Talend Artifact Repository.
The local repository parameters are available only when local Nexus is enabled. On a fresh installation, local Nexus is disabled by default. After an upgrade, local Nexus remains enabled when a local repository URL was already configured.
|
Parameter |
Value |
|---|---|
| Software update enabled |
Select true or false to activate or deactivate checking for software updates automatically in Talend Administration Center. When this option is set to false, no checks will be made to the artifact repository and the related Software Update options will be hidden. |
| Local Nexus enabled |
Select true to display the local repository settings and keep the existing local-repository patch flow. Select false to hide the local repository settings and allow users to download patches directly to the local machine from the remote software update repository. On a fresh installation, the default value is false. After an upgrade, the value is set to true when a local repository URL is already configured. |
|
Talend update url |
Location URL to the Talend remote repository from which software updates are retrieved. Ensure the cacerts used by your Tomcat JVM have not been modified, or that there is no Forward SSL setting used in your network. If the latter is true, you will need to add the certificate returned by the Forward SSL into the Tomcat JVM cacerts. |
