System requirements

To ensure optimal performance and compatibility, the following requirements must be met before installing and using the Qlik Analytics Migration Tool.

Operating system and hardware

Operating system

• Microsoft Windows Server 2019 or 2022 (dedicated server)

CPU

• Minimum: 4 cores
• Recommended: 8 or more cores for large environments (for example, environments with tens of thousands of users or apps)

Memory

• Minimum: 16 GB RAM
• Recommended: 32 GB RAM or more for large-scale migrations

Disk space

• Minimum: 100 GB of available storage

Qlik file access requirements

To migrate file-based assets such as QVDs, CSVs, and TXT files, the following conditions must be met:

• Domain access
  The server hosting the Qlik Analytics Migration Tool must have access to the relevant shared file locations. This typically requires membership in the same domain as the Qlik Sense environment or a trust relationship with that domain.

• Service account configuration
  The Qlik Analytics Migration Tool Windows service must run under a domain account with read access to the necessary file shares or local paths.

• Permissions
  The domain account must have appropriate NTFS and share-level permissions on all folders and network locations involved in the migration.

Network and connectivity

Internet access

Outbound internet connectivity is required to access the target Qlik Cloud tenant. This can be provided directly or through an HTTP or HTTPS proxy.

Certificates and security

• Server certificate
  A valid third-party SSL or TLS certificate must be installed on the server where the Qlik Analytics Migration Tool is hosted. The certificate must be issued for the domain name associated with the server.

• Qlik Sense proxy certificate
  The Qlik Sense Proxy Service must also have a valid third-party certificate installed to enable secure communication with the migration tool.
