Setting up the AI assistant (Qlik Answers) in Talend Studio

Preview

As a Qlik Talend Cloud administrator, enable the Qlik Cloud settings and access required to use the AI assistant (Qlik Answers) in Talend Studio.

Before you begin

A Qlik Talend Cloud Premium Edition or Qlik Talend Cloud Enterprise Edition license is required.

Procedure

In Qlik Cloud, open Administration > Settings > AI features, and enable cross-region inference.

In Qlik Cloud, open Administration > Settings > Tenant > Feature preview, and enable feature preview.

For more information, see Enable feature preview for the tenant.
Assign a new role to the user with the permission Features and actions > AI platform > Generative AI access set to Allowed.

Results

Users can now use the AI assistant (Qlik Answers) in Talend Studio by signing in with Qlik SSO.

Note: Users can later activate or deactivate access to Qlik Answers in Talend Studio directly in Qlik Cloud by clicking the User profile menu > Feature preview > Qlik Talend Studio AI Assistant: Answers.
