Creating spaces

Spaces enable selected users to work together.

For example, you can create spaces for departments in your organization to share tasks, Studio connections, or Studio resources.

When the unified administration is enabled, you can also create synchronized spaces from the Spaces tab on the Environments & spaces page in Qlik Cloud. For more information, see Assigning data spaces to environments.

About this task

You can create custom spaces and share them with other users.

Procedure

  1. Open the Environments page.
  2. Select the environment in which you want to create the space to open its details panel.
  3. From the Spaces tab, click Add space.
  4. Enter the space name.
  5. Select the space owner from the dropdown list.
  6. Optional: Enter the space description.
  7. If you do not want to share the space, click Save.
    If you want to share the space, click Save and share.
    You are redirected to the Users tab to assign permissions to users.
