Managing application properties

Your Qlik Sense administrator can create custom properties in QMC for applications.

These properties can be used for tasks such as creating a distribution policy limiting access to applications. An administrator might create a custom property for users or groups and then add the names of the users or groups as values to that property. You can apply these custom properties and specific values from these properties to applications in Work and in streams, as well as when you are publishing or moving applications.

Information note

You can add application properties to an unpublished application, but they may not be applied depending on the custom properties settings, which are controlled by your Qlik Sense administrator.

You can view the application properties in the Manage properties dialog and from the application details.

  1. In the hub, right-click on an application and select Manage properties.

You can also access Manage properties from the application details. Click Info on an application and then click Manage.

  2. Do one of the following:

    • To add properties to your application, select an application property and then select values from that property.

      You can search for values

    • To remove application properties, clicking Cancel on the property value.
  3. Click Apply.
