System requirements
NodeGraph can coexist with your BI tools on the same server. What NodeGraph needs in terms of memory footprint is linear to the number of entities and files in the environment you intend to cover. Since NodeGraph only uses metadata surrounding your solution, it generally consumes far less resources than the actual systems it connects to. Installing NodeGraph on the same server as your BI tool is the usual approach.
For more details, refer to Software requirements and Hardware requirements.
General server requirements:
-
Windows server (with .NET 4.6.2 or higher)
NodeGraph can be installed as multiple instances on multiple servers, contingent to the type of license you have. Multiple server architecture could be useful if you require a clear distinction for different environments or similar.
Connector-specific requirements
-
MS SQL Server 2012 or later
-
PowerBI Desktop late 2017 or later
-
QlikView 11.2 or later
-
Qlik Sense 3 or later
-
Tableau Online or Tableau Server 2019.4 or later
NodeGraph and TLS
The NodeGraph user interface can be secured using TLS 1.2.
When communicating with external systems, NodeGraph defaults to TLS 1.2, but will downgrade to TLS 1.0/1.1 if required by the server. For more information, see Configuring NodeGraph with SSL/TLS.
