Excluding the Qlik Essbase Connector from Qlik Sense installation

The Qlik Essbase Connector 1.3 is installed automatically with Qlik Sense. The Essbase Connector 1.3 does not have a separate installation program.

The Essbase Connector can be excluded when Qlik Sense is installed in silent mode.

Do the following:

1. Uninstall any existing versions of Qlik Sense and the Essbase Connector on the system where the new version of Qlik Sense is to be installed.

   Warning noteIf a version of the Essbase Connector prior to Version 1.3 is left on the system, it is not uninstalled by the Qlik Sense silent installation. The Essbase Connector will then appear on the list of available connectors in Add data and the Data load editor, but it will not work.

2. Select Start > All Programs > Accessories > Command Prompt.

   The Command Prompt window is displayed.

3. In the Command Prompt window, navigate to the folder containing the Qlik_Sense_setup.exe file.

4. Run the Qlik_Sense_setup.exe with the appropriate arguments for silent installation.

   For example:

   Qlik_Sense_setup.exe -s userwithdomain="mydomain\myUser" password="myPassword" SKIPESSBASECONNECTOR=1

   Or:

   Qlik_Sense_setup.exe -s -l "c:\mylogpath" installdir="c:\mycustompath" dbpassword="mydbpassword" SKIPESSBASECONNECTOR=1
