Downloading an update via Talend Administration Center

Before you begin

  • You have asked Qlik Support to assign an update to your customer account.
  • You have installed and started Talend Administration Center and your local Nexus server.
  • Talend Administration Center is connected to the Internet.
  • You have your client credentials provided in the license email sent by Qlik.
  • In Talend Studio, under Window > Preferences > Talend > Update settings, the Update URL field is empty.

Procedure

  1. From the Menu panel, go to Settings > Software Update.
  2. Open the Server Patch tab to configure the following parameters.

    Software update enabled true
    Talend update url https://talend-update.talend.com/nexus
    Talend update username The username provided in your license email sent by Talend
    Talend update password The password provided in your license email sent by Qlik
    Library Repository Nexus 3
    Local repository url http://{your local nexus ip}:8081/
    Local deployment username talend-updates-admin
    Local deployment password talend-updates-admin
    Local reader username talend-updates-admin
    Local reader password talend-updates-admin
    Local repository ID talend-updates
    Automatically download Studio Monthly Update false

  3. From the Server Patch tab, click the icon next to the update you want to download.

Results

The update is removed from the list and saved on the local Nexus server.
