Editing a data quality rule from the dataset overview

You can edit the rule configuration from the dataset overview.

Before you begin

At least one rule has been applied to a dataset.

About this task

Editing a rule from the dataset overview lets you modify the rule applied to this specific dataset. This does not impact other datasets or the rule in the Data Quality Rules tab.
Information noteTip: You can also edit the rule from the dataset Sample view. For more information, see Editing a data quality rule.

Procedure

  1. Log in as a dataset manager or administrator with the Rules - View permission.
    To have the Rules - View permission, the roles Rule - Manager or Rule - Viewer must be assigned to you.
  2. Open the dataset overview.
  3. From the Data quality rules tile, select the menu of the rule you want to edit.
    Open menu icon from the Data quality rules tile.
  4. Click Edit.
  5. Modify the field or value associated to the variables.
  6. Click Validate.
    The dataset overview is refreshed as well as the quality bars from the Data quality and Data quality rules tiles, and the quality bar from the Sample view.
