Google Ads is the advertising platform of Google. You can use Google Ads as a data source when landing or replicating data.

You can leave all custom report fields empty to use pre-built reports.

Preparing for authentication

To access your Google Ads data, you need to authenticate the connection with your account credentials.

Create a client ID and a client secret

Create credentials for a web app OAuth client ID in Google Cloud Console.

1. Add https://connector.qlik.com/auth/oauth/v3.htm as an Authorized redirect URI.

2. Click Create.

Creating custom querys

You can create GAQL querys to use as custom queries in the connection with Google Ads Query Builder.

1. Select the resource to use.

2. Select your attributes.

A GAQL query is created in the form SELECT <attributes> FROM <resource>.

Click the copy icon and paste this query in the Custom Query fields.

Creating the connection

1. Fill in the required connection properties.

2. Provide a name for the connection in Connection name.

3. Select Open connection metadata to define metadata for the connection when it has been created.

4. Click Create.
