Managing roles
A role is a group of permissions.
A list of predefined roles already exists, but custom roles can also be created with permissions of your choice. At least one role must be assigned to a user to allow access to Talend Cloud.
When the unified administration is enabled, roles and user permissions can be synchronized and shared between Qlik Cloud and Talend Cloud.

In Talend Management Console, the Security Administrator can create and manage user roles for Talend Cloud applications.

Based on your license, you have a defined number of seats available per application. Those seats are consumed by users according to the roles and permissions they have.
