Executing the project upgrade pipeline

Now that your manifest is created, you can execute your pipeline. It will allow you to upgrade a Talend project to the version of a selected Talend 8.0 CI/CD sandbox environment version.

Procedure

  1. Click the Pipeline button. Based on the definition of the manifest, Talend Cloud Migration Platform generates the CI/CD execution steps. Each steps are executed as individual shell scripts, .cmd on Windows and .sh on Linux.
  2. In the Pipeline tab, notice the Generate only pipeline script option, disabled by default. When this option is activated, the upgrade is not executed. Use this option if you want to generate the script without executing the upgrade. You can then use the script to run the pipeline outside Talend Cloud Migration Platform.
  3. Click Run to execute the pipeline scripts. Each step script displays the execution output in their respective expansion panel. The output can also be exported as a log file using the download button in each panel. If the execution is successful, all steps are marked with a green check icon. The last step will display the representation of the CSV generated project upgrade report.

  4. The report shows the modifications Talend CommandLine made to the project to upgrade it to the current version. The representation allows you to view the changes by different criteria.
