Deleting users
When a user account is deleted, changes happen to the tasks, plans, and remote engines related to this account.
When the unified administration is enabled, synchronized users deleted in Talend Cloud are not automatically deleted from Qlik Cloud.
For more information on how the user deletion works with the unified administration, see Deleting users.
Before deleting a user account, ensure that all assets owned by that user, such as data preparations and datasets, are transferred or shared with another user. If this is not done, these assets may become inaccessible or unrecoverable after deletion.
For example, user firstname.lastname@company.com owns several data preparations and datasets. Before deleting this account, ensure that these assets are shared with a new user firstname.lastname@us.company.com. This allows the new account to access and work with the same data preparations after the original account is deleted. For instructions specific to data preparations, see Sharing a preparation.
- Personal spaces: anything in the Personal space of the deleted user account is removed, as this space is automatically removed with this account.
- Custom spaces: a Custom space to which the deleted user account was assigned as owner remains; so the objects in this space are still available.
- Shared space: this space, as well as the objects in it, remains.
- Remote Engines: a Remote Engine remains. If this engine was assigned to the personal space of the deleted user account, it is automatically unassigned from that personal space.
