Configuring Qlik Cloud Authentication

You can create a secure connection with a Qlik Cloud tenant.

Before you begin

  • You must have a Qlik Talend Cloud license.
  • You must have the Subscription - Manage (TMC_SUBSCRIPTION_MANAGEMENT) user permission to configure the Qlik Cloud authentication.
  • The URL to the Qlik Cloud tenant must be configured to enable the Qlik Cloud Authentication fields.
  • You must have the Qlik Cloud administrator role (tenant admin).
  • The OAuth consent method for the OAuth Client must be set to Trusted - authentication using the OAuth Client will skip the consent prompt.

    In the OAuth page of the Administration activity center, you can change the consent method of the OAuth Client configuration.

About this task

You can store only one pair of Client ID and secret.

Once configured, the values of the saved Client ID and secret are not visible.

Procedure

  1. Go to the Configurations page.
  2. Open the Qlik Cloud tab.
  3. Under Qlik Cloud Authentication, enter your Client ID and secret.
    Qlik Cloud Client ID and secret.
  4. Click Connect.

Results

If configured successfully, your Talend tenant can now communicate and share information with you Qlik Cloud.

What to do next

You can store a new pair of Client ID and secret by clicking the Update button.

You can remove this connection by clicking the Disconnect button.
