Downloading applications in the Qlik Sense Client-Managed Mobile app

Download Qlik Sense applications for offline use in the mobile app.

Downloading a Qlik Sense application

Qlik Sense applications that can be downloaded are marked with the download badge in the Qlik Sense Client-Managed Mobile app. Connect to a Qlik Sense Enterprise server to download applications.

Do the following:

1. Tap  on the Qlik Sense app icon to open the application details window.
2. Tap the download button in the details window. The application is downloaded. Applications that are downloaded are marked with the badge on the app icon.

Tap the cancel button in the middle of the download progress circle to cancel the download.

Downloading a reduced version of the Qlik Sense application

Requirements

• Qlik Sense Client-Managed Mobile February 2018 or later
• Qlik Sense Enterprise February 2018 or later
• A bookmark that you have created. For more information, see Reducing the size of a Qlik Sense application for downloading.

Do the following:

1. If you have previously downloaded the application, delete the offline version that you have downloaded.
2. Tap  on the Qlik Sense application icon open the app details window.
3. Tap  Reduce.
4. Select a bookmark and then tap Download. The application and data associated with the bookmark are downloaded. You can now open the reduced application when you are offline.

Reducing the size of a Qlik Sense application for downloading

Use bookmarks to reduce the size of the data in a Qlik Sense application before you download the app. When you download the application, reduce the application by selecting the bookmark that you created.

For example, if you have a Movie Analysis application, select data from the 1950s, and then bookmark that selection. When you download the application, select your bookmark to reduce the app. Only data associated with your 1950s data selection will be available in the downloaded app.

Requirements

• Qlik Sense Client-Managed Mobile February 2018 or later
• Qlik Sense Enterprise February 2018 or later

Do the following:

1. Open the online version of the Qlik Sense application that you want to reduce.
2. Tap a sheet to open the sheet.
3. Make the selections on the sheet that you want to save as a bookmark.
4. Click the bookmark button in the toolbar.
5. Click Create new bookmark. The name of the sheet and a summary of the selections are used as the title of the bookmark.
6. The bookmark is automatically saved. The bookmark will be available when you download the app.

Updating downloaded Qlik Sense applications

You can update your downloaded version of a Qlik Sense application with the version that is on the Qlik Sense Enterprise server. Data in your local application is also refreshed with the data from the server. Connect to the Qlik Sense Enterprise server to update an app.

Do the following:

1. Tap on the Qlik Sense application to open the application details window.
2. Tap the Offline tab.
3. Tap  Update.

Deleting downloaded Qlik Sense applications

Do the following:

1.  Tap  on the Qlik Sense application. The details window opens.
2. Tap the Offline tab.
3. Tap Delete. The downloaded version of the application is deleted.
