Space targeting

QV2QS creates converted apps in the personal space of the authenticated user. The command-line interface also supports deploying to a shared space by passing --spaceId.

QV2QS is a UI conversion tool. Space provisioning, user mapping, and access control are outside the QV2QS scope. These capabilities are provided by the Qlik Analytics Migration Tool (QAMT). When QV2QS is integrated within QAMT, space assignment will be handled as part of the full migration pipeline. For standalone use, the --spaceId option on the command line provides direct control over the target space.

Information note

Integration of QV2QS within QAMT is planned for a future release. Product plans are subject to change and should not be relied upon in making purchasing decisions.

The web UI always deploys to the personal space. Space selection through the web UI is not necessary because QAMT will manage space assignment once the integration is available.

Space selection is important for large applications. Qlik Cloud enforces resource limits that vary by subscription tier and by space. Some spaces can be configured for large app support, which provides higher memory and compute allocations for reloading and rendering. When converting large QlikView applications, deploy to a space with large app support enabled so that the app can reload and render without exceeding resource limits.
