Review reporting and subscriptions

Last updated: 2026-11-03

Cadence: Weekly

Subscription model: All

Roles: Tenant Admin (TA), Analytics Admin (AA)

Last verified: 2026-05

Initial Recurring
Estimated time 30 min 10 min

Benefits:

  • Catches failed reports and stale subscriptions before users notice
  • Confirms metered-report consumption is tracking against tier limit
  • Surfaces reporting-permission misconfigurations

Goal

The Subscriptions page in the admin console is the central place for tenant and analytics admins to manage user-created report tasks and subscriptions. Across all forms of reporting (including capabilities outside the Qlik Reporting Service), a tenant can make a maximum of 30,000 reporting-related requests per day. Weekly review confirms that tasks and subscriptions are running, that failures are being addressed, and that reporting permissions still match policy.

Tasks

Task TA AA DA AuA
Review failed report tasks and stale subscriptions ✓ ✓
Use the Report Analyzer monitoring app for metered-report metrics and execution duration trends (community-supported) ✓ ✓
Verify Generate all reports permission level on User Default and any custom security roles ✓

Limits

  • 30,000 reporting-related requests per day, tenant-wide (Qlik Reporting Service spec)
  • Per-license monthly report cap (varies by Qlik Cloud Analytics edition; see Comparing subscriptions)
  • 500 unique reports per task
  • 1,000 report tasks per user
  • 1,000 recipients and 1,000 groups per distribution list
  • 4-hour task execution cap
  • 3 cycle fields per task

Monitoring the 30,000/day cap. Qlik exposes no dedicated per-day counter for this cap, which counts all reporting-related requests tenant-wide—including capabilities outside the Qlik Reporting Service. Track it indirectly via the Report Analyzer app and the reports meter on Home (report volume is the closest proxy), and treat it as a hard guardrail when scheduling large distribution runs.
