Preparing for authentication
To access your Samsara data, you need to authenticate the connection with your account credentials.
To obtain your token:

Go to to the Settings page of the Samsara dashboard. application preferences.

Click the gear icon on the navigation bar. Are you a developer? Create an app….

Click API Tokens.

Click Add an API Token.

Select from a Read-only.
-
Copy and save your token in a secured file. You will need it to connect to the application.
Creating the connection

- Fill in the required connection properties.

Provide a name for the connection in Connection name.

Select Open connection metadata to define metadata for the connection when it has been created.

Click Create.
