Setting a migration token in Talend Studio

You can import projects and project items exported from an earlier version of Talend Studio. However, if these project items don't contain valid signatures or item keys, you must set a migration token on Talend Studio. Then you can successfully import the projects and project items before the date set in the migration token.

1. If you are launching an instance of Talend Studio for the first time and using a local connection, follow these steps:
   1. Click Other login mode.
   2. Click the Set migration token link to open the Set migration token dialog box.
   3. Paste the migration token key and click OK to set your migration token and close the dialog box.
      You can now import projects and proceed with logging in.
2. If it is not the first time you launch Talend Studio or if you log in using Talend Cloud, follow these steps:
   1. If you are already logged in, click File > Switch Project or Workspace in the menu bar to open the login screen.
   2. From the login screen, click .
   3. Click the Set migration token link to open the Set migration token dialog box.
   4. Paste the migration token key and click OK to set your migration token and close the dialog box.
      You can now import projects and proceed with logging in.
