Setting up update repositories for Talend Studio and Continuous Integration
Qlik provides the following ways to set up update repositories, also called p2 repositories, before installing updates, namely the patch zips assigned to you, and feature packages in Talend Studio or building your project artifacts using Continuous Integration.
- Use the official Talend
repositories directly, for example:
- https://update.talend.com/Studio/8/base for the official repository for feature packages
- https://update.talend.com/Studio/8/updates/latest for the latest Talend Studio monthly update
This is the recommended setup. In this case, you don't need to set up update repositories. For more information about the URL of the official repository for each Talend Studio monthly update, see Talend Release Notes.
- Use proxy repositories that link to the official Talend repositories. This setup allows your infrastructure team to centralize and test updates before making them available to all Talend Studio users.
- Use repositories that host the official Talend repositories. This setup is recommended for centralizing the updates when you want to make them available to Talend Studio users who don't have access to the internet.
