Building and deploying business rules

Once you have finalized the creation of business rule within a project, you must deploy the project to the Maven Artifact Repository of the web application. This will make the rule usable in production environments.

1. From the Drools page, open the project you want to deploy, org.talen.bank in this example.
2. Click the Open Project Editor tab.

   Information noteNote:

   The project name must be identical with the Maven artifact repository set in the Artifact ID field. Otherwise, the rule will not work when you use it in a production environment.

3. On the top right corner of the project editor, click Build and select Build & Deploy.

Results

All the project dependencies are deployed to the Maven repository at $M2_HOME.
